Director of Regional Development, Texas (Dallas-based)

Join a collaborative and relentlessly results-driven Development team as we carry out our mission of conquering and curing brain tumors—once and for all. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Peer to Peer Fundraising, the Director of Regional Development, Texas will oversee assigned regions, projects, and signature P2P events with an emphasis on donor and volunteer management. The role is responsible for recruiting new P2P teams that raise funds for NBTS through outreach, relationship building with individuals who lead teams, and year round stewardship of donors; both individual and corporate. The role also involves development marketing activities in collaboration with NBTS Marketing and Communications team, and cross-departmental collaboration with other NBTS functions to assist on occasional projects, tactics and queries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as primary lead for assigned events and projects, including collaborating with volunteers to achieve P2P and corporate fundraising goals within budget, while delivering superior volunteer service and support to constituents.
  • Responsible for working collaboratively to achieve campaign fundraising goals for DFW Brain Tumor Walk & Race and other regions as assigned. Supports territory expansion to new regions as assigned.
  • Provides ongoing strategic assessment and volunteer engagement, reporting to AVP and CDO on regional growth and sustainability plans, for assigned markets.
  • In partnership with the Assistant Vice President of Peer to Peer Fundraising and cross departmental collaboration, execute the strategic growth plan for the state of Texas with plans to manage a second event in another Texas region beginning in fall 2027.
  • Identify, cultivate and steward hospital partnerships in assigned regions to support NBTS events and activities and support our patient community.
  • Oversees assigned event expenses and vendor contracts as directed by AVP of Peer to Peer Fundraising.
  • Responsible for all regional corporate partnerships for Texas based events, from securing the sponsorship dollars to benefit activation. Work in partnership with the Corporate & Foundations team for any national-level sponsors for the Texas region.
  • Manages and cultivates assigned donor prospect portfolio and captures all relevant data in Salesforce.
  • Collaborates across NBTS teams (MarComms, Community/Govt, Corporate, Research, Finance) to ensure an integrative approach to volunteer engagement and communications;
  • Works to identify opportunities for greater donor prospecting activities among teams and individual supporters.
  • Educates and supports committee chairs and event committees to build knowledge of NBTS programs and mission, and increase participation and revenue. As new event regions are identified as priority, cultivate a Volunteer Planning Committee in the area in advance of new event launch.
    Researches, identifies, and recommends a range of philanthropic and marketing-related strategies, ensuring that NBTS’ engagement with external partners remains aligned with our core values.
  • Host and attend in person community meetings at minimum once a month or as needed to achieve campaign goals in the assigned region.
